Karlebo Church is the oldest building in the village Karlebo. The parishioners have been gathering here for 800 years.
Part of the present fieldstone walls date back to year 1100. The church was before the end of the 13th century enlarged both lengthwise and with transepts. The reason for this sudden enlargement is not known. The tower dates back to the 14th century. An earlier porch has been demolished. But to compensate a vestry has been built on the north side. Both in the 19th century.
The entrance to the church is situated in the tower. Inside the tower is a table with the names of all the priests since the reformation.

Inside the church only a few of the many murals are visible.
The pulpit dates back to 1584. On the different sections of the pulpit the four evangelists Matthew, Marc, Luke and John can be seen. The Latin inscription says: "Blessed are those hearing God's words..." "Thus God loved the world that he gave His Only begotten Son ...", " I am the resurrection..." and "I laid myself to rest and fell asleep ...".

The altarpiece dates back to 1597 and has the Latin inscription: "Piety fortifies the realms, Chr. the 4th, King of Denmark and Norway". The painting was made by C. Schleisner in 1856.
The organ is a Troels Krohn from 1964 with 8 stops.
Next to the church is the vicarage. Most of the original vicarage has been demolished. The only remain of the original vicarage is the "Wing" used for meeting etc. by the parishioners.
